“You Matter to Me” - Jesus

All of us want to matter to someone. The GOOD NEWS is that we matter the MOST to JESUS CHRIST!!!
We might not feel worthy to matter to Jesus, but we do. The reason we know this is because Jesus died on the Cross for EVERYONE! Jesus came and paid the price that none of us could ever pay, the cost of our sins.
What are sins?
A sin is anything we do that is against the divine law of God. The Bible makes it clear that all of us are sinners, every one of us (Romans 3:23).
What is the cost for being a sinner?
The Bible tells us that sin has to be dwelt with and the cost of our sins is death, Romans 6:23a. Not only will we all die one day but the death the Bible talks about is also a death that means forever separated from God, in a place called Hell.
Good News
The Good News is that God loves us that while we are sinners Jesus came to pay the price for our sins. Romans 6:23 says this “For the wages (cost) of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.”
What Good News…that even though we are sinners, Jesus paid the price for us so that we can have eternal life. That doesn’t mean we won’t die one day but it does mean that we will be in Heaven with Jesus for eternity.
The Decision
What does it take to have this gift of Jesus? Just like any gift we get we have to choose to accept it. To accept the gift of Jesus Christ we have pray for Jesus to come into our life and to accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9 says “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
We can’t be saved by doing good works or even just attending church. The only way to be saved is to admit we need Jesus in our lives, believe that Jesus died, buried and rose again for us and to confess Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that whoever that He gave His begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Prayer of Salvation
God loves us so much He made it so simple for us to be saved. Saying a prayer that we believe in our heart to be true and by confessing with our mouth we can be saved. An example of a prayer of salvation can be like this:
Heavenly Father, I come to you today admitting I am a sinner. I come believing that Jesus came, died and rose again for me and I confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior. In Jesus name I pray Amen.
What’s Next
If you prayed that prayer and have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior then we want to know and celebrate with you!!! We also want to help you to grow in your faith and to see how God has equipped you with His spiritual gifts for His Kingdom.
God has so much planned for you because you are now a part of His Family. It is good to know that no matter what difficulty we may face on earth that as believers in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior that we have God dwelling within us to take care of us.
